What's the last last last month that your.......................................

BMs and MOH dresses should be ordered?

When should you have all your Bridal Party ladies fitted so they can order the dresses?

I am having a hard time getting 2 of my ladies into get their fittings. Not sure what the last month is to get all of them in so they have enough time to get fitted before the wedding.

It really depends on the designer of your dresses. We ordered the beginning of December and they won't be here until mid-April.

It depends on where you're getting your dress from. I think they told me about 6 weeks and it came in in 4 weeks... but I would say 3 months and that's cutting it close b/c you have to give the girls time to get them altered.

Thanks, I feel terrible about asking them to go again when one is trying to conceive and one is pregnant for the first time....but I also don’t want them to hold up the other girls dresses etc.

It’s a tough & delicate situation :(

well, they can take 3 mo to come in, so I'd say at least 5 months, to give a buffer zone for order errors and fittings

My girls ordered their's last July and they just came in last week! My wedding is in July so there is plenty of time but you never know how long they will take! I say if you find something you like order it and get it over with!

Since you're getting married in September, I'd push your girls to get measured as soon as possible. March is probably the last 'safe' month you can order and, depending on style and designer, have the dresses in time, with or w/o rush cut fees. Remember, late spring/summer/and now fall are popular wedding months so factories are swarmed with orders and March is about the end of their slower period. I had a similiar problem and my two girls only ordered their dresses at the beginning of January. Eek! We were told their dresses should be in by the end of March but it's really cutting it close. So, I know how difficult it can be to have to haggle people to do things but you don't want to be pulling your hair out in August, trying to find an acceptable compromise. HTH and good luck.

I agree about it depending on the designer. I just placed my last dress order for Bari Jay dresses for our May 12th wedding. They will be here at the end of April.

I am ordering my Bill Levkoff dresses this week . . . Lillette's told me you have to order them 5 months beforehand . . . I am cutting it close . . Oops.

Does anyone know how long Jim Hjelm's BMs dresses take? I am leaning towards one of his dresses but I haven't even picked yet and this thread is making me nervous! Thanks.
