The most romantic restaurant he took me to was our dining room.

I came home from work one day, and he had about 100 candles lit all over the house, had arranged for my aunt to babysit, and had prepared a delicious dinner of broiled salmon, with rosemary baked new potatoes, salad, and my fave bottle of wine!

I knew he was a keeper right then and there!

VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Howie we picked a few good places to eat from Zagats. Thanks for you suggestion. We will keep it in mind. Do you live on LI or Westchester?

I'm in SW Queens.. right along the BQ border. She's in Nassau. We're getting married in Westchester. Kinda like getting away but not too far for the families.

Ever been to the Castle at Tarrytown?

These may not be the MOST romantic we've ever been to, but they are very nice restaurants (& the only ones I can think of right now!)

Try The Country House in Stony Brook...amazing food, service, and BEAUTIFUL decor. They might be booked for V-day though...but if you have a choice, ask for Fireside room. You really cannot get a bad seat, but that's my favorite b/c of the fireplace, and a view of the singer if she is there that night.

I went to a graudation party there- very nice!
I always wanted to have my wedding therr when I was in college. Going to a party there though got it out of my system though.

and by the way, now you got me wantin White Castle. . .

I would also recommend Blue Water Grill (right around the corner from Union Sq Cafe). Very romantic atmosphere.

def Louis XVI. My girlfriend recommended it and it was the most amazing eating experience !!! We plan to go back AFTER the wedding. It is $$$$

both very romantic, excellent food but very pricey

Howie I am from Suffolk County and my fiance is from NE Queens, but he works in Westchester. Recently we got an invitation to a wedding of his co-worker and the place was in New Rochelle, VIP Club. I thought I remembered you mentioning that it was nearby your hall?

I haven't been to the Castle? How is it?

It's on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa
by the Verizon store, there's also one in Commack. You'll love it.

The best dinner I ever had with my FH was not at a restaurant, but at his place. It was Valentine's day, and he sat his room up like a little cafe. There were candles, flowers, and romantic music playing. He made me chicken parmigan (one of my faves) and pasta. He also baked a cake that was in the shape of two inter-locking hearts. My baby is no cook, but everything was so delicious. It was so sweet and totally took me by surpise.

I haven't been to the Castle? How is it?

We're getting married at the Greentree. There like a lot of halls on this strip of Davenport Ave in New Rochelle. It's probably be near to it. I wouldn't be surprised at all. It's right on the north side of Long Island sound.

The Castle was wonderful. 100% first calss.. I can't stress how great it was. We stayed there last year.. had dinner..one of the best meals I ever had... . the next day we went to New Rochelle after we checked out to reserve the hall.

It's now named a bit differetnly.. but I would say that if you and the FH have an opportuniyty, try it. You won't be disappointed.
