what's the one thing...

Original post by jenheartsrob

that sealed the deal with picking your reception site?

Was it an extra they threw in? An extra entree choice? Viennese hour? chair covers? flowers? how did you know you were getting THE best deal?

For me it's the level of customer service, they are very accomodating. Also their food is delish!!! I've only heard good things!!!!!! Plus they do one wedding at a time which was very important to me, so I was really happy about that!!

I had been to 16 other places (not including all the places I went to with my sister for her '04 wedding) when I got to East Wind. I originally had them on my list, then took them off after I watched the online virtual tour, then put them back on after a bunch of people that know my fairly well said I would love it, and a photographer showed me actual pics of a wedding at the Country Gardens.

I went by myself and met with Mike. I just got that feeling that this was 'the place' while I was looking around. The price and the menu were what we were looking for, so I called FH from the parking lot about coming back to taste the food. I walked right back in and set up an appointment to taste the food for three days later. After we tried it we booked.

Chateau Briand-there was something about the look that we loved. We didnt really want flowery, gold chandeliers...its not us. And Jack-he definitely sold us! And we love him for it

I needed a hall that could throw a strictly kosher wedding (for my mom and her friends). My choices were limited. It was between Crest Hollow, Leonards, & Huntington Townhouse. I was partial to the country club atmosphere, FI wanted Leonards but they couldn't guarantee us the chapel that we wanted. I also liked that the rooms are Crest Hollow are very roomy.

The food!!!

We had checked 10 halls prior, and we walked in without an appt and our BM was just very accomodating and took his time with us. There were 2 weddings going on, and just served us everything right then and there....hors doevres, pasta, chicken scarpiello, creme brulee, wine, etc. We were sold at that point, and then the pricing was in our range, so we took it!!

Also we were able to see the rooms somewhat even though there were parties going on, which Leonards would not let us do.
