Oh, also my dress. Am toying with Amsale from Bergdorf Goodman's and Justina McCaffrey at Kleinfelds- both in high 3's.... FI just said I'm high maintainance and have expensive taste. FI said 'lucky him'- in a very sarcastic tone- under his breath. lol.

My dress.
I bought a second one 2 weeks after leaving a deposit on a first one.
Both dresses are upwards of $3000. Crazy, but I don't regret it.

I also ended up spending way more on Photography than I expected.

I really didn't 'go crazy' over any one thing, but if I had it to do over again, it would have been photos, no doubt!

I don't think we went crazy on anything...since we paid for the reception ourselves, we worked up a budget and pretty much stuck to it. We didn't even consider any vendors that were outside of our price range-to eliminate any temptation.

Since we stayed within our budget, we were able to splurge a bit on our honeymoon. Having lobster for lunch on the beach made all of our budgeting worthwhile!!

Happy planning, everyone!!

We splurged on our honeymooon definitely.

As far as going crazy - I would say my dress and hall. I searched and searched for a dress and couldn't find one I like. I never thought I would buy a couture $$$ dress but I did and do not regret it. (PS sept- I am not high maintenance at all....I just couldn't find that dress that made me say wow...before I bought my $$$ dress all the other dresses I was considering ranged between 750-1200. I just liked them. I wasn't looking at price tags). As far as halls, we looked at about 20 different places before going back for a second look at NRC. We looked at $$$ and cheaper places..none jumped out at us. On our second visit to NRC they made us feel so good and comfortable so we went with them. Another thing I am glad we went crazy with because it was so worth it!

We haven't really SPLURGED on anything yet. Just about everything is more expensive than I thought it would be though

I guess I would have to say our Pictures, I am spending more then I originally planned but am getting the album of my dreams ( I HOPE)

and also our Honeymoon, we are going for like 2 1/2 weeks and spending more then I antacipated, but thats cause I never really knew what I wanted to do. But we are worth it.

The hall - was a little out of our budget but it was very important for me that our out of town guests be treated to a unique, beautiful reception experience 'on the water.' I figured if they are going to drive/fly all this way, they should at least have something beautiful to look at while they sip their cocktails etc. Being on or near the water was very important to me - I am a water baby myself.
