I think the perfect is age is differnt for every couple. For me the perfect age is around 30-31. I will be married at 29 and hopefully shortly after we will get pregnant. I like the fact that both fh and I have steady, sturdy careers already and that we have both lived our lives to the fullest. So in my eyes, that now makes us ready

I agree completely. I don't think there's an exact age for everyone is different. I always thought that I would have kids before I was 30 but being that i'm 31 don't think thats going to happen.

DH is soooo frealed out about baby talk everyone is mentioning is since both our sisters are pregnant (they are in their mid 30's.)

im not sure if anyone is ever ready - at least thats what ive heard from every mom ive asked - even my mom

FH and I would both like to wait until we are in a home and know we can afford the lifestyle we want to have - we want to be able to live comfortable and provide for our kids without struggling - we also want to wait until we are done living as just the two of us - meaning no regrets about things we should have done before kids...neither one of us is really sure when that will be - i always wanted to be done with kids by 30 and it 'could' happen that way because im 23 - but by the time we are in a house ill be 24-25 and i dont think we'll be in any rush - we'll still want to get settled into our new life in florida - so i cant say.....my mom got married at 25, had me at 26 and said for her that worked but its different for everyone....maybe for me 26-30?

I had my oldest when I was 20. Sometimes I feel he got the short end of the stick by having a mother who clearly didn't know what she was doing. But now that we've both grown up, he likes having the cool mom.

It was hard at first, but now I am happy I had them early. It's different for everyone though. My only advice: make sure your marriage is strong: because being single with 3 kids BLOWS!

but i think the younger the better

to me if i was to wait to have kids im my late 20s or early 30s..i think it would be selfish of me to want to do things before i have kids

cause then ill be in my 50s and 60s during their adult years when you can finally be friends with your children

i want to have them ASAP!! (were trying )

ill like to have given birth to the first one by 24 THE LATEST

i want to see my kids grow..and see their kids grow..so thats why i feel being young is better.,

I would say probably late 20s cause you are more mature and will most likely be better off financially. Plus, I think it is good to have a year or two with just you and your hubby before bringing kids into the mix. I know it does not always work out that way, but that would probably be ideal.

As for me, I am going to be 34 yrs. old when we get married in June. I have never been married before and have no children, but would like to have one or two. We are planning to have kids when I am 36 and 38. I hope they are healthy since the risk of birth defects goes up in your 30s, but I just do not think we can afford them right away and getting married and being with my Honey is all I want to think about right now.

My mother and MIL think I should get pregnant right away, but I am going to do things my way and enjoy being married first. I think it will be o.k. as long as I take care of myself and stay healthy.

I had My first son @ 33...My FH was 39..... I also have a step son that will be 9 next month. FH says he is done . But I would love one more

I think you have the right attitude! Don't let anyone pressure you. My sister got married at 36 -- got pregnant her first try at 37 -- it happens all the time. More and more women are marrying later and having kids later.
I hope to get pregnant at 35. I would have loved to have been a younger mom, but I met the love of my life at 32, and he was well worth waiting for!

I'm 24 now, will be 25 in December. We plan to start trying at the end of this summer. Probably around August or September. DH will be 28.

I had twins when I was 18, I'll be 29 when I get married my FH is a year older, we're gonna start right away!!!!! But my opinion there is no perfect age you just have to be ready.

It depends on $ and maturity level.

I think I'll end up having my first in my late 20s, maybe 28 or so. I wish I could have them earlier but I'll be in a PhD program and I am not waking up at 3am to put a kid back to sleep when I have a midterm the next day.

i think it depends on the person and when they're ready to have them etc.

for me...i just turned 26 so we'll probably try to have our first in 2 yrs.

for me its not really an age thing...i want to be satisfied with where i am within career, be mentally prepared, and figure out what we're doing with regards to housing etc.

I thnk the perfect age is such a subjective thing.

I couldn't ever imagine getting married or preganat in my late teens-27. I feel more ready now and still FH and I want to wait tunitl our lives are more settled together.

FH is 33 and I'm 32. I thin we'll wait until I'm 34 and he's 35.

I dont think I would change when I had them, I was ready- you just know
