what's the story with burtons?

why are they so cheap? is there something i should be worried about. they have a flat rate for their centerpieces... whatever flowers you want. same rate. what's the deal with this?

anyone use them?

I'm not really sure. I think that you have the use the flowers that are in season- which is cheaper for them. My DOC says that they are great, but I've heard some negative reviews. I'm meeting with them next month.

I think they are awesome. My soon to be sister in law used them for her wedding and loved them. Her review is up on the brides review forum. July 15th 2008 the watermill look that one up. I met with them and they seemed super nice.

The reason they are so cheap is b/c the are a wholesaler - not a regular florist. I used them & was very happy w/ my flowers. the TWOTY bride MrsDrinkH20 also used them & had beautiful flowers.

Awww thanks Laurie...we had great flowers...they did a really nice job...just make sure you tell them exactly what you want...I wasn't clear so my cps weren't what i had in mind, but they were still beautiful! I also didnt want to make waves when i went to see them so I didnt complain..had i complained i know they would have worked with me...no biggie...they did a really good job though and the price was the best around

thanks ladies.

for those of you who didn't get what you expected... that worries me though? didn't you gals do samples? did they just not stick to the plan from when the samples were done?

My friend Theresa (ttdiff11) just used them 2 weeks ago & her center pieces were perfect. MY FSIL used them also & loved them. Also a patient of mine used them in August, the same rave reviews. I don't know what went wrong of why with the other girls CP's but I will have pictures of what I want in hand when I go so there's really no way they can mess that up hopefully. I would also tell them the concerns you are hearing, about how fabulous they are but the CP issue. I'm sure they'll be on it like crazy to make them perfect

I've never heard the words 'in season' during my appointments. I was working with Mike and he just told me it was a flat rate.

The samples were the same was what we had the day of...i went to see the samples 2 days before the wedding...they were beautiful, not exactly what i had envisioned but it was ok with me...wasn't worth the stress of trying to change it.

I asked if I could see samples and was told no. I'm assuming this is because I did not have centerpieces through them because I know others who have seen samples. I ordered bouquets, rose petals and some standing arrangements. I was happy overall.

My friend used them and was happy.

I went to see them bc she told me their prices were great. To tell you the truth I went there and when they gave me the price , it wasnt broken down, they just did some quick math and came up with a number, it seemed like, out of thin air.

I went to Pedestals after and their price was even better and their service was fantastic.

pedestals' price was better than burtons?!? i didn't think it got lower than burtons. and i was under the impression pedestals was pricey.
