Whats the timeline for invitations?

Whats the timeline for invitations?

Please correct me if Im wrong, because Im just going by what I think I read here on the boards.
Invites go out 3 months before the wedding date?
RSVP date 1 month before the wedding?

Is this right? When is the latest the 'b' list invites should be sent out?

I heard that the invitations go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. If you are doing a 'B' list, maybe 10 weeks before would be better for the first invitations? I was going to do STDs but then decided I would rather use that money for a chocolate fountain, so I am sending my invites out 10 weeks before the wedding.

I am sending invites out end of Jan for a mis April wedding; RSVP date is about a month before.

We chose not to do a B list to avoid the hassel and printing two diff. response cards.

Our invitations are going out 10 weeks before, with 4 weeks to RSVP, so we will have all the responses back 5-6 weeks before the wedding.

Me too. So twelve weeks (3 months) before the wedding the invites go out.
