Sorry its taken me so long to respond, I haven't used any Scotto vendors yet, I wanted to check out Sherwood Triart Photographers, are you using them? I wanted to make an appointment for a meeting with their wedding planner about chair covers , since the chairs are alittle dark from what I remember, and I'd like to brighten up the room. I am using Sherwood Triart. They did my sister's wedding in April and the pictures were beautiful. I also booked Body Rock as the DJ. They are really good as well.

Fox Hollow Bride, I'm also having cocktail hour in the WGP and reception in the Briar Fox.
So far, we haven't booked any house vendors. We are using Duet for photo/video and High Voltage for our DJ. We have our first meeting with a florist on June 27. In a couple of more weeks we will be at 10 months! So exciting

Another Fox Hollow bride here! I'm also having my cocktail hour in the Winter Pavillion and the reception in the Briar Fox. I am so HAPPY to hear others are using the same rooms.
We had thought we were going to use the scotto recommended vendors but in the end it's 50/50
Limo - Royalty (Scotto Recommended) DJ - Body Rock (Scotto Recommended)
I have to say that we were impressed with Body Rock - over all impression and the fact that they have the electrical set up in the briar fox to have the speakers hook into the wall near the entrance. They are the only ones allowed to use the set up that way (confirmed through PWP) so the wires aren't on the floor. I was so freaked out at first about the dj being on the left hand side - but no worries - just about all the DJs can set up the speakers near the entrance.

Body Rock is really good and I was really impressed by the last wedding that I saw with them. I am also using Royalty. What does everyone have left to do?
I booked Photo/Video-Sherwood Triart-The thing I like best about them is I met with the photographer who typically does Fox Hollow and he showed me photos in the Briar Fox Room and they were great pictures. He said because they work there so often he knows the best photo opts. DJ-Body Rock Hair Trial-Mya Make up Trial-Patti from Beautiful Beginnings Limo-Royalty Reception-Fox hollow--It was the first place I went to and no other place was a nice. I loved it. Honeymoon-Southern Caribbean Cruise
I still have to get my dress, BM dresses and flowers

wow you have alot done, so far for us, its the church, fox hollow of course, our band, and I got my gown. I want to call sherwood triart this week and get some prices, and package ideas. We are planning on having an engagement party on July 18th ( FH 's mom will be in town by then) and will register soon too. Hope all you girls are doing well, happy planning once again!

We had to book a lot of things in advance because FH isn't available from January - June. So we pretty much booked everything. All we have left is:
Invitations BM Dresses Tuxedos Hair (have someone in mind but too early to book ) Pre-cana Details, details, details (programs, placecards, etc)

Getting married in Oct 2005.
I only have the reception and the church. I met with proline yesterday, I liked them but I'm not sure. I also want to meet with pereptions, duet, and sherwood. Sherwood is hard to get an appointment with. Only until 4:30 in the afternoons I think?
Any photography/video suggestions?
I'm also meeting with body rock tomorrow.
P.s How much does Fox Hollow charge for feeding vendors? Both recommended and not?

My understanding is that you get 1/3 off for vendors regardless of whether or not they are house recommended or not. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

I think that is right. That is what I am getting. Body Rock is really good. Sherwood should schedule appointments after 4:30. FH and I met with them at 7:00 one night. My sister used both vendors for her wedding in April and people still comment on how great the DJ was and the photos are beautiful!

Is anyone using the Garden Terrace room for their wedding? Just wondered what you thought of the set up where you and FH would be. I know they want to keep us centered but I know someone posted on here that at their wedding in that room , they were in the middle of everyone, so that everybody could see them better. It's a long dance floor and I don;t want to be so far from everyone. what do you think?

I asked the folks at FH about that & they said it can work either way. It's all about what makes you comfortable. Here were a few things they told me to keep in mind if we sit in the middle (ie. oppositte the double entrance doors)
- We'll be closer to the music - less quiet - Won't be under the stained glass cieling fixture - The cake will be set up at the oppositte end of the room - less room will be available for family on the left side of our table b/c of the bridal suite being in the corner.
We havent decided if these are good things or bad for us - they don't seem so bad so who knows!
