What's with mystery guests?

Several of my friends are rsvp'ing with guest & not putting a name.
Some have even admitted they don't know who they are takign. then why put 2? Especially if you rsvp''d early? WOUldn't you wait untill you knew for sure?

What if you can't find a date? And my boss, who is one of these people is also invited to another wedding where she has to pick her entree & she she doesn't know what to do b/c she doesn't know who she is bringing? Then don't bring anyone! and yes, she will know people at my wedding & the other wedding.

No these people realize. they've even said they don't know who they are bringing, but they are bringing a date.

Well, I guess that's confidence for ya!

Some people feel a lot of pressure to have a date no matter what at a wedding. It's like New Year's Eve that way!!
