I am strarting to HATE my bm's. i call one of my bm's up and tell her when she has to go fitting. She gives me this whole big story on how she wont deal with the salespeople if she has to spend another 100 on alterations, i was like what, and than she said, 'i will not be able to be in your wedding then' i almost fell over, I have been freind with her for over 20 years and she says this. She is on wieght watchers and things if she loses 30-40 pounds from now until the wedding the alrerations will be alot. I believe they cap the alterations. I am so upset as I has my fsil drop out a few weeks ago. Should i call this bm back or just let everything cool down and call her during the week??

I would call the bridal shop and find out the fax they will charge for alterations. There should be a cut off. Then call your bm back with all the info...

I would also wait and let things cool down. It is possible that she is self conscious about her weight especially if she is putting pressure on herself to lose weight by a certain time. I know that Bridal Reflections in Carle Place caps alterations at $55. At least that is what they told us yesterday. I bet your salon caps alterations too.

OH MAN!! What is it with your BM's Christine?? Well, I would call the bridal salon tomorrow and get the facts. Then call her back and let her know. I am sure that they cap off the price. Mine are capped at 75 but thats if the girl needs EVERYTHING done....the salon told me that they usually charge about 50 on average if the girl dosent need all alterations done. Give her some time to cool off and make sure that when you talk to her, that you stress the importance of having her share in your day with you. 20 years is a long time and Im sure you asked her because she is very close to you. SHE IS UPSET BC OF WEIGHT AND SHE IS DOING WELL WITH IT. AND SHE HAS NOT HAF A BF IN A LONG TIME, I THINK IT IS JUST UPSETTING HER ALSO. BC ALL THE WEDDING TALK AND ALL CLOSE FREINDS ARE MARRIED. I WILL LET HER COOL DOWN,.....,
