I have to say i love PNC bank Arts Center (formerly the GArden State Arts Center). I would ather drive all the way out there than see a show at Jones beach (they usually have the same bands).
I also really like MSG for some reason..but that could be because the absolute BEST concert I ever attended was held there..THE WHO

the sound at the beach is SO bad...you'd think they would do something about the sound system. I was there for an aewrosmith concert in the rain, and it was miserable. Couldn't hear a damn thing

really? I always feel so far away, even when I had floor seats. I like Jones beach--there is just something about an outdoor concert, but it isn't jsut a field, so you don'thave to go early & push to get a spot ( like randall's island)
I like the Bowery Ballroom for smaller shoes.

I have never been to msg. I know, hiding in shame. But I like Radio City Music Hall. I'm also going on april 2 to see the Circus at the Nassau Coliseum.

hekscher park in huntington. or northport park. sounds silly but one of my most amazing life experiences was in northport park, a summer night in july, 7 pm, just a see of tea lights and blankets and the band playing 1812 overture and all of a sudden the canon goes off and the cymbals and these sail boats all lit up with x-mas lights come into the harbor. it was so awesome! simple but awesome!

I have to say Jones Beach. I know that sound is bad, but I love the surroundings. I've had so many happy memories there. A Jimmy Buffett show there is so much fun!

Ohh I love SPAC in Saratoga! I spent so many summer nights listening to concerts without paying, lying on the grass in the park with my friends. Heard DMB four times like that!
