Aside from the incredible food and service at the Garden City Hotel, along with the gorgeous ambiance, I'd have to say that my favorite thing about the GCH is its rich and amazing history. Knowing that families like the Vanderbilts, Astors, Belmonts, Kennedys and Clintons have stayed here, and other famous people and politicians such as Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rudy Giugliani and Gov. Pataki have gone to events here, means so much to me. The fact that Margaret Thatcher felt that this hotel was worthy of her staying here is humbling; and to know that Charles Lindbergh himself stayed here the night before his famous flight to Europe gives me butterflies. And although I am not an Obama fan, and was not an Obama supporter prior to the election, it is extraordinarily exciting to know that the New York State Democratic party took place at the GCH less than a year before our first black president was elected to office... and knowing that Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and John Edwards were all here plugging for themselves at the upcoming election makes me feel so proud.
I do not mean to brag at all - I am just amazed by the history of this place and I cannot wait to become a part of it.

I love the library for the CH and the fact that you can go right outside to the gardens from my room. I also love the gardens, they are so pretty.

the very large bridal suite that the miller place inn has. you can have like a party of 20 in that room alone and also love the amount of space in the coctail hour room. and most of all my bm hes awesome!~!!

There will be an obsene amount of food in our base package ... includes things that were upgrades at other places we looked!

besides the food, ever so happy to help staff, and the cozy feel to the entire hall/inn..... I love...
1) the fact that my FH, who never has an opion, loved the location the minute we walked in and was ready to book on the spot!
2) the Garden Terrace Room which is like a huge indoor green house without the heat/humidity. Stone/Waterfall walls indoor with glass ceiling so you can see the stars. We'll have it for CH just as the sun is setting.. the sky will be gorgeous.
3) the awesome/huge solid wood bar in our CH and Reception rooms.
4) the Royal Suite in their Inn that we get the night of our wedding that is only a few drunken steps away from our Reception hall.
