I normally just use soap and water (Dove) and 3 times a week I use the astringent from Clinique

Mbluegirl7, I have been thinking about trying Proactiv. I have seen the info commercials and each I struggle with myself, should I or shouldn't I??
My skin isn't that bad, but I always seems to have one zit somewhere.

antibacterial face wash for sensitive skin (clearasil or CVS brand) w/loofah in the shower every morning. Sudden change tea tree face moisturizer immediately after getting out of shower, neutrogena intensive daily moisturizer (I think that's what it's called) after I finish drying my hair.
If my face feels yucky after I get home from work, I'll clean with a sensitive skin astringent.

wipe my face with witch hazel, then rub a little extra virgin olive oil, then wipe with tissue. Then shower and wipe face with wash cloth.
My face feels great and all the grime is gone

Lori I'm the opposite of you.
in the AM: Proactiv wash, then Proactiv toner. Then Retin A micro. Then Metro Gel or Finacia on cheecks for roseaca. Then Cetaphil SPF moisturizer. Then makeup
in the PM: Either Dove or St. Ives creamy exfoliation lotion. Then Benza Clin. And a moisturizer around my eyes.
I have noticed a few tops I wore to work got a bit bleached on the collar. I think it was from the Benza Clin so I started using it only at night.
All these facial medications. I feel like a walking drug store sometimes. But I love the Retin A micro. It really works. So does the Proactiv.

Mine is pretty easy. Wash my face minimally in the shower in the AM with Dove for sensitive skin, Metro Gel on cheeks for roscea, Neutrogena Moisture for Sensitive Skin then makeup (except on weekends when I give my skin a chance to breathe). At night I use Neutrogena Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin, then Metro Gel again and Neutrogena Moisture again.
However....if I do not wear makeup I do not wash my face more than once a day. As per my dermatologist washing your face too often is extremely bad for you skin. It removes the natural oils and causes your skin to dry out.
Also..I make sure that I wear sunscreen or sunblock and keep my face out of the sun.
It's all worked so far, since I will be 48 in March and have no wrinkles!!

I wash with a special cleanser prescribed by my dermatologist. Then I use a mosturizer. That's depends - right now I am using Oil of Olay for dry skin.
I never wear makeup. I stopped wearing it at age 25 and I can't believe how much better my skin looks because of it. Just a moisturizer and some chapstick and I'm set! If I go out somewhere fancy, I wear mascara and a lipstick. But no foundations or powders to clog my pores (which are huge).

I was my face in the shower in the morning with Clean & Clear Oil-Free Continuous Control Acne Wash. When I get out of the shower, I wipe away anything left with Dove Clarifying Toner, then Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for Sensitive Skin, then my makeup.
When I'm good about it, which is something I really need to work on, at night I was my face with Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub and then use Night of Olay Firming Cream. Once I start going back to the gym on a regular basis, I'll be better about washing my face at night because the first thing I do when I get home from the gym is jump in the shower and wash my face.

I guess I'm bad, but I dont' do anything at night....I'm lazy about it. I just wash my face in the morning in the shower....... Now I feel guilty knowing i put so little work into my skin care routine.......

i use the Oil of Olay daily facial clothes at night. love those things!! i also use the Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin acne treatment twice a day. i don't really wash my face in the morning - just quick with the washcloth in the shower.

I use Oil of Olay face wash in the morning and at night. I only moisturize with Nivea at night before I go to bed. I can't moisturize in the morning because it makes my face to oily.

I've always had great skin....until about 4 months ago. I have been breaking out on my chin NON-STOP, so i decided to try proactive. At first, it was a little drying (I think I was using too much) but now It's great! I don't really see the harm in trying it. I think it's $40 for the starter kit (I ordered the one with the oil free moisturizer so it was a little more expensive). I also think you could return it if you don't like it!
