Mines a keychain....I mean...why?!?! (It is a coach keychan, but still, I am not really into Brands...I guess its the thought that counts....and at least they gave a gift receeipt...

I got something that was obviously a re-gift. The box was so heavy, I couldn't even lift it & neither could the person who supposedly bought it for me. It was a housegift made out of glass and its very gawdy. Of course there was no gift receipt. ( I don't want to give too much info in case they ever lurk on this board.) All I can say is UGLY UGLY UGLY! Why do people pass on their ugly gifts to others? Its tacky!

Not this year, but 4 years ago I was recovering from throat surgery right around Hanukah time, and my best friend and his then-FI (now DW) came over and brought me a Chia-Tweety!! They thought I would like it because I have a small collection of Tweety things, but it was a flipping CHIA!!!! LOL!!! I couldn't believe that was really their gift. Here I was with no voice and still in pain and crap, and all I could manage to squeak out was 'A Chia! Are you kidding me?!?!' I felt bad afterwards, but now we all laugh about it.

Ok..this isn't my worst gift (i can't think of anything i didn't like) so i will tell you the most annoying gift. Christmas orniments. EVERYBODY got me one. It is not that i don't like them but next year i need a new tree to fit all of them!

i was blessed this year with many great gifts...
the one thing i didnt like was one year i gave fh's aunt and uncle christmas gifts early(since i wasnt sure if id be seeing them) and they gave me nothing in return..worse than no gift

I officially got the worst gift this year - my aunt and uncle are SUPER cheap and its the big joke every year as to who is going to get the cheap gift of the year.
This year my DH and I were blessed
She gave us a mini Christmas tree made out of baby food jars and the jars were stuffed with tinsel and lights so we could plug it in and oh boy.....it lights up.
It is by far the cheesiest gift ever. As a joke I regifted it to my parents - we had a good laugh over it. I'll take your coach keychain anyday..........

i know ive heard of the babyfood jar tree... and didnt make it once i saw pics.... i think lori's looks something like this

I had that happen with a cousin of mine. Not that I'm looking to get gifts from all whom I give to, but we have exchanged for years now. It was strange that they didn't send anything or give any explanation.

Wow, I thought I had received a bad gift until I read these stories!! My In-laws gave us a fiberoptic christmas village. It doesn't sound bad until you see it all lit up. They also gave one to my SIL, wow is it bright!!!
I can't wait to see pictures of the baby food tree and the lovely pocketbook!!
