One of FH's cousins just asked me if some of the food would be wheat/gluten free because she has a wheat allergy. Did any of you ladies ask you hall this question? And if so what did they say?

Re: Wheat/Gluten Free question
Yes- My sister (MOH) is a Celiac, and they are actually making special plates just for her (one CH plate, one dinner plate)
FH's cousin should probably talk to them directly about what she needs, and I am sure they will accommodate her!

Re: Wheat/Gluten Free question
I have celiac and it seems to be very common. I would just express this concern to your banquet manager during your menu selection. Basically you cannot eat any bread, pasta, any type of bread crumbs, some sauces. The best option is for the person to order grilled chicken or fish with a potato and plain veggies. Some places have gluten free pasta - which thankfully my hall provides otherwise I'd be s** out of luck. If you have any other questions please feel free to message me!!
Hope that helps!!!

Re: Wheat/Gluten Free question
I have celiac disease, as well as my mom. My hall was very accomidating with gluten free foods. We brought our own pasta that they cooked and they gave us baked potatos instead of potato croquets which contain wheat. I also got a mini gluten free cake from black forest bakery for my mom and I to have since we couldnt eat the wedding cake.

Flowerfield isaccommodating my sister's gluten free needs - don't they need to make sure that the food is not made around other wheat products as well?
