Do you spell out the first name or just the initial?
Like: Mr. & Mrs. J. Smith
or
Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
TIA!!

Re: When addressing an invitation...
I believe you are supposed to spell out the full first name of the person unless they do not go by their full name, then it is okay to use their initial! HTH

Re: When addressing an invitation...
You properly spell out everything : names, streets: it's Smith Street, not Smith St, and Islip, New York, not Islip NY. Pain in the a$$, but that's the proper way to address a wedding invitation.

Like the other poster said, you spell out EVERYTHING. You always use the full first name, plus spell out 'street' 'avenue' etc.
