when are you doing the father/daughter mother/son dance?
are you doing it right after your first dance or are you spacing them out??
about halfway into our first dance we're inviting all couples up to share the moment with us.... i'm not sure if i want to invite them up then ask them to sit 3 minutes later.

but in your case, i agree that it's a bit weird to have people come up to dance with you during your first dance, then sit back down 2 mins later.
Can you maybe invite the guests to dance with you during the parents dance instead of during the first dance?
or just don't invite the guests to dance iwth you at all?

Mor, our song is 8 minutes long lol.. and I WON'T edit it... its too special to us. we have it all planned out how and where to invite everyone up.
I think maybe we'll do it just before dinner.... i don't know yet.

We did ours right after the MOH/BM speech but ONLY because at my other 2 sisters weddings, my dad got so bombed that he almost took them down! So, I figured, it was safer for me to do them early on.

We did it right after the first dance. We wanted to get them out of the way so we'd have less interruptions later.
ETA: We had guests join us for our first dance and then sit back down. It was a little weird, but it didn't matter.
