My BM's want to wait until january to go dress shopping and I dont want to wait since that will affect the colors of everything (they want to lose weight before the wedding)
Would it wrong to say we need to go this summer and we cant wait????

We're getting married the same day (yay!) and I plan on going with my BM's in the fall. Not sure if we'll buy them that early but that's when we're going to start looking.

i'm going to start looking now, but that doesnt mean you have to order now....you can look and choose a style and wait to order the dresses! my BM are nagging (well not really i want to go too!) me to go and i have a year and 3 months to go!

Wow. They want to wait really badly but the whole color thing is bothering me. I guess I could compromise and wait till the fall or so.

i have been looking @ styles now, but were going starting September, thats when the new styles come out.

I'm going tomorrow. I wanted to go a year before. We did the same for my friends wedding. She's getting married this October and we went this past October and one girl got measured that day, they rest of us had until March to get measured, so they will still have time.

Its hard because two of the three girls aren't local so I have to coordinate everyones schedules. I want to go soon. I feel bad asking the girls to spend money on things so I figure if I do it way in advance it kind of gives them time to recoupe the funds!!

I'm getting married the same day and I asked my girls to order their dresses by the end of July. I have already pick them out though.

im not getting married til next oct, and im probably gonna start looking in the spring..id rather have an idea of the exact dress me, my sister and FSIL all agree on...and id prefer to get the dresses earlier than later..cause im the type of person who doesnt like to have a crunch for time...thus why my dress is already ordered..

I already have a few dresses in mind for my BMs but I think I'm going to wait until I order my gown first before thinking about taking the girls to try theirs on.
I think you can definitely get away with 9 months before...then again, it's up to you, if you want to go earlier then just tell them you want to go and get it out of the way bc you have so many other things to plan....I'm sure they'll understand

im going again next weekend. i told the girls their dresses have to be ordered by the end of april. but they really have til july/august b/c alfred angelo bm dresses take 3-4 months to come in

i know what dress id like to order and the color but we havent actually ordered yet....maybe in may i'll ask them to order their dresses....you can pick something out but its fine if you wait to order

we're going this summer. i think it's important to nail down the BM dress early bc it has such an impact on the look of the wedding. i'd want to know for sure before i started looking at flowers, invites, etc.

I am getting married the week after you and we started looking last month. We didn't order anything but we narrowed down to two. I think they will order within the next couple of months bc once you find something you love the fear is of it being discontinued.
I know the feeling of wanting to lose weight bc that is why I havent gone gown shopping yet but the truth is the dress can always be taken in. The harder thing is when one gains weight and the dress needs to be taken out. Its probably better to order the dress bigger and have to have it taken in. Maybe you could go with this rationale.

im not sure i get what color thing you are talking about...the colors are always the same for each designer...they don't change.. they ahve sample dresses in a color and then show you the swatches of colors the dress is available in...it doesnt really matter when you go...colors don't change...
