we did ours before we booked...and i think we go back 3 months before to finalize the menu and 1 month before to talk to the pastry chef.

You're awesome! My pain in the neck sister in law's brother was married there - she distinctly remembered the food being out of this world - so i'll take that as a good thing!

My hall is having a showcase in Oct, so we're going to go then and then also schedule a food tasting seperately.

we booked without a tasting.. but i wasn't really concerned about the food there because i've heard a lot of really great things about scotto brothers, but our BM said we can schedule a tasting if we'd like to before we go to finalize our menu

you can also go to the show case on weds and taste a lot of their cocktail hour foods.

Our venue doesnt offer tastings, however they are a fully functioning restaurant and most places like that don't offer free tastings. However, we don't have to pick entrees or anything, our guests will get to choose from seven. we just hafta pick our first course and our dessert. which we can do without a tasting.
as far as the cocktail hour goes, we've been to showcases where they have some of the food as well as heard from others what they loved... i think we'll be fine.
anyone going to the Fox Hollow before March, be sure to tell me what your faves were at the cocktail hour!!

FH and I just ate at the restaurant at Westbury Manor, i'm not even sure if they offer tastings... maybe when we finalize the menu? That's like 2 months before the wedding though...

We went to a tasting at Woodbury CC when we were looking for an RH. We really liked the food but then the date we wanted got booked overnight so we ended up booking Marina del Rey instead. We haven't been to a tasting there. Do you have to call to schedule one or will they just tell you to come in for it?

i was told to call before i came in. even if i call the same day. but thats my place.

a girl i know didnt get one either but she told the Banquet Mger she felt weird booking a place where she couldnt try the food and they let them come in durring a dinner while a wedding was going on and they were able to taste it! maybe they can do that for you
