When are you leaving for your HM?

How soon after the reception are you leaving for your HM? I'm wondering how much time we need. Is there any reason to wait more than one day? Are you leaving in the morning, at night?

Our wedding is Saturday and we are leaving Monday morning.

We are getting married on a Sunday and leaving for our HM on Tuesday morning. We wanted a day to relax.

My wedding is on a Sunday we are leaving on Tuesday because I need time to recoup and to pack, and cash the checks

I am a teacher so we arent going on honeymoon until mid-july.
We will stay somewhere special night of wedding and maybe go to AC for following night.

We're getting married on a Saturday night, and plan to go away that following Monday. Need a day to relax before enjoying HM.

We did the same, you are EXHAUSTED THE NEXT DAY!

We are leaving the weds. after our wedding ! i know it seems a little long but i wanted to safe packing for after the wedding! one less thing to do before the wedding. plus i need time to get my daughter settled with the school and at my moms while we are away!

We're leaving the next day. We wanted the day after but not too many crusies left on Mondays. So we have to go on a Sunday.

Our wedding was on a Saturday, we had a Post-Wedding Party brunch held immediately the next day at MIL's LI house. We left for our Parisian HM on Monday (2 days later) which worked out best because with all the last minute running around we were so very stressed that we had no time to pack and/or prepare for our HM.
