when can i tell ppl ENOUGH?! RSVP drama

it seems like a lot of people are having RSVP drama..well here's mine.

The last day to RSVP was one week ago (exactly) and i keep receiving more RSVP's in the mail everyday! It's not right!! I received a couple calls last week from people telling me that they missed it by a day. BUT this is a week now!!

we already far exceeded our minimum and didnt plan that so many people would RSVP!

Do you guys think its rude and/or how do I tell people nicely that it's too late?!!!!

Oh I hear you sister!

I swear I didn't think people could be so ruse and inconsiderate until my RSVP drama started.
I have 2 sets of relatives who have informed me they cannot RSVP until a week before because if work schedules!
Worst part is they are on FHs side and I barely know them and cant really say anything b/c their is already a weird family dynamic going on there and I have been asked by my FMIL to not say anything.

UGGH !

Ugh so frustrating!! I'm kind of in the same boat right now, but we didn't meet our minimum, so I had to invite some other people that I'm waiting to hear from!

Can you call or email the ones that haven't RSVP'd? I know that they should be contacting you, but maybe just get it out of the way and basically say you need a yes/no right now.

I really don't get people

Sorry to hear that! But I don't think you can un-invite people? I am invited to a friends wedding and it says rsvp by or before april 6th and she asks me if I'm coming. I can understand with the work schedule thing. I even asked my boss if he could let me know and he said by this Friday so it will be just in time. But if I don't get off like I requested I will ask other co-workers to switch with me. I work nights and its a day wedding so I kind of need two nights off. I hope everything works out!!! Good luck!!!

I agree, you can't really uninvite people. However, they say about week after the RSVPs are due, you're supposed to call everyone who didn't send a response. You could use that phone call to kind of imply that it might be a problem if they wanted to come. ('I didn't recieve your RSVP, so I assumed you were a 'no,' when I submitted the final headcount. I just want to confirm that before the day gets any closer.')

That sounds like the best way
