Ive been getting physically sick, and Im embarassed to admit it. Its not from one particular thing, I think its from two jobs, and wedding planning.
I literally spent yesterday and another day a few weeks ago not two feet from a toilet. No fever, and its not a virus because it only lasts like 8 hours.
What is wrong with me??

Re: When can you tell the stress is getting to you?
wedding planning, combined with other life stresses, can wreak havoc on your body!! it sounds like you're having a lot of anxiety.
i know it's probably WAY easier said than done, but maybe you should take a mental health day. and if you can't take a day off from work, then take a mini-vacation from wedding planning for a day or two. force it out of your mind. don't even come onto this site (omg, i never thought i'd say that ).
at the end of the day, no wedding or job is worth your health! take a breather.

I'm sorry you are so sick. Can you go get a massage or a manicure or do something to treat yourself and relax? You deserve it!

I don't think that it's only you. I'm also getting sick on and off. The day is quickly approaching.

Thanks. I feel better knowing im not nuts!!!
and the funny thing, the first time it happened, the nausea started, i was getting a manicure and pedicure. And Saturday was my shower, and I was sick for most of the day yesterday. There is no rhyme and reason to this. Thats why its so hard to deal with.

There's nothing wrong with you! Stress will do crazy things to you. Everyone is sick this time of year......and stress runs your immune system down, so you're more likely to catch the evil germies. Do something nice for yourself, take a little mental break and feel better!

As I get closer and closer I find myself getting more nervous aqnd my stomach goes in knots, so you arent alone!!
Take a break from from wedding planning or maybe treat yourself to a manicure/pedicure..or a day at the spa.

Your body and mind have no DOWN TIME. You are just stressed out. You need rest. Notice I didn't say sleep. It's not the same. Get some 'me' time for yourself on a weekly basis. And do your best not to sweat the small stuff or things that you can't control anyway. Feel better.

I know exactly what you mean. I have been sick (with fever, viruses, pain, nothing, sadness) since December. I have already missed 5 days of work this year with illness. I know it's because the stress is causing my body to shut down.
Feel better! I think of how happy I'll be walking toward him at the ceremony...and then of frosty drinks by the pool at the HM...that's what keeps me going.

Totally feel your pain. I always get a touchy stomach when I am stressed. I've had it on and off for a month now as I search for the miracle cure to my $ problems. Take an hour, get a good book or cd, run a hot bubble bath, light some candles and put a do not disturb sign on the door. It actually does help. Just make sure the book/cd has nothing to do with wedding/work.

I agree that you need to take a break. I don't know what your situation is, but I found I absolutly do not do well with 2 jobs, expecially when I started wedding planning. I would say either cut down on hours, take a vaca, or something.

Oh boy, that's stress at it's worst!! I once lost 18 pounds in one summer WITHOUT DIETING for the same reason.
You likely have at least a slight case of IBS, if not something more, and the stress of working so hard and the wedding, as well as the expectations of everyone else AND those you're placing on yourself, are setting off a pretty severe attack. You really do have to take care of yourself. Tend to the physical symptoms first to get them under control, of course, but most importantly, tend to the mental part of this since it's likely the cause. You need to do what you might now consider the impossible - step back and take a few deep breaths. Do you do yoga? It's SO helpful - every one of my doctors recommends it.
FM if you need more info/want to talk. I have a lot of experience in this area

working two jobs is stressful enough, let alone planning a wedding...if you are feeling physically sick it's definitely a sign you need to slow down-nothing is worth your health!!!

I didn't realize how stressed out was until I went to Shelter Island for the weekend. The minute I got home, I felt the stress. It's everything...Working two jobs, planning a wedding, buying a house and it's my first year teaching!

NOPE... Like I need a hole in my head.
Anyway, this sux. I feel I have no control over the symptoms, they just come on when they feel like it. And with 6 weeks still to go, Im bound to be attached to the bowl again.
