my first CD was a gift - i think it was 'michael jackson's #1s, or greatest hits or something.'
it was a coaster for a while, now I have NO idea where it is.
The first CD i ever bought for myself was the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack. I was SO young, yet obsessed.

I was totally thinking about this the other day!! The first CD's I bought, on the same day, were a Greatful Dead CD (don't remember which one) and the Blind Melon CD - what a combo!!

First CD: Bon Jovi - New Jersey Second CD: Def Leppard - Hysteria Third CD: Milli Vanilli - Girl You Know Its True
As sad as it sounds... the Milli Vanilli CD was actually very good at the time. A lot of good songs... even the B-side songs were good.
Too bad they didn't sing it... but whoever did... did a great job.

one of the Pearl Jam CDs.... funny thing is I still dont buy CDs, but they're the Only ones i will (though DH usually gets it the second it comes out, so i dont have to buy it anyway)
