Not Sure- I think you have to change most of them though. I heard its a good idea to keep at least one credit card under your old name for credit reasons.

I would insist that you do, to keep it consistent, b/c if you are going to use your Passport and your DL says something else it could cause confusion. THat is why I am waiting until I have time to do everything. I changed my CC and I do not have any ID matching my CC how silly is that

I believe you do. But you cant do anything until you get your official marriage license. So that will be the first piece of documentation you will receive after the wedding, then you should have a list of what else needs to be changed in order of priority, for example SS card, passport, drivers license, checking account, credit cards, bills, email address at the office, etc... SS card and other important documents cant be changed until your marriage license has arrived. Also which I am sure you know this, when you book your honeymoon and the airline, book your maiden name because when you go to the airport they will look for ID and none of your ID's will be changed to your married name yet and this will cause a lot of problems. It is very important when booking your airline to book with your maiden name. This way your ticket and your ID match.

It is very easy to change the name on your info. Once you have your marriage license you just show the people (SS administration, DMV, etc...) a copy of your license and they'll do it right there. But you cant do anything until you have your official marriage license.

You should really change everything once you recieve your offical marriage license. What I did though (for my first marraige) was keep my old drivers license with my maiden name instead of handing it into the DMV. Its always good to keep something with your maiden name and picture on it IMO.

I would keep it consistant. It wasn't as bad as I thought.....just remember:

DMV: You need your current drivers license, registration & title of your car.

Social Security: Marriage license & drivers license or passport.

Credit Cards: You can change your name & address over the phone.
