I just booked a month ago and I'm getting married in April. I looked at three different photographers before making my decision and I actually really liked all three! I ultimately chose my photographer because of her personality and unique eye for details. Take your time to find the right one that best suits your needs. Good luck!

i booked it a month after RH about 16 months before the wedding.

15 months. But, as I have said in other threads, I think girls on here are a little wedding addicted so we tend to book earlier than your average bride...

i booked right after we booked our RH, over a year in advance...it was the most important thing to us after our RH

I've already started to make appointments. I plan to hopefully book sometime next month and I'm still over 2 years away from my wedding! Photo/Video is the next most expensive thing besides RH and to me is VERY important so want to make sure I get who I fall in love with + have plenty of time to pay it off.

10 months out.. we ony have an engagement period of 13 months..

for the prime summer weddings i'd def do it early to make sure you book who you want!!

We booked in Oct-Nov of 2010 for our July 2012 wedding. So we booked at about 20 months out. We knew who we wanted and we wanted to make sure we booked them.

Photographer was the 2nd thing we booked after our reception hall. We booked him a few weeks after being engaged so a year and 2 months before. I was afraid all the good ones would be taken
