i booked right after we booked our RH, over a year in advance...it was the most important thing to us after our RH

We booked ours about 7 months in advance, but we have a short engagement period (less than a year). I'd suggest booking them asap to ensure you get who you want. They get booked up pretty quick, especially during peak season.

Also, if you book this year.. you'll lock in the 2011 prices for a 2013 wedding which is a big plus!

We only had to book video (my Uncle did our photography), but we booked our video in August '09 for our November '10 wedding. We would've booked photo at the same time though if we were booking.
