We knew who were were going to ask, but we waited until after Andrew was born. Then when we saw each of them after he was born, we asked them. My sister is the godmother and DH's brother is the godfather. Some people ask before the baby is born. We decided to wait.

With our first, we asked his brother before Nicole was born. With the boys, we waited until they were born!

We've know who we're asking from the beginning-I have one brother, he has one sister. But we're asking after the baby is born.

I asked after my son was born - but I already knew it was gonna be my brother.

No, One of mine was (brother) and godmother was not.

I believe it's the decision of the church that you choose. I've heard of some churchs that require both to be catholic.
