everytime i ask travel agents, they keep telling me its too early (my wedding is 11 months away) so i was just wondering when you girls went and booked... i guess i am getting anxious!

Airline schedules usually come out a year in advance so we're going to start looking for places in October/November.

We booked our HM the end of May and we're getting married 11/10, it was really accidental actually because we were just looking online and we knew that we pretty much wanted to go to St. Lucia and when we went on the website they were have this amazing deal for this awesome suite!!!!! So we booked it. Now we're just waiting on the flights and we are done!!

We booked a cruise b4 FH proposed so were using that along with a few days in FL as our HM. We booked our cruise early 09. Its took Early to book a flight and the hotel for FL (Our wedding is Aug)

i am booking actually today. so its 9 months. when i had been speaking to travel agents at about the year mark or a little before they told me to book flights around between the 7-10 month mark.

i dont' think it is to early and with a travel agent they usually give you the lowest price if it goes done except for plane ticks

We booked our honeymoon in May (the beginning) for next July.
We are taking a cruise out of NJ though so that might have an effect on why we were able to book so early.

It was the first thing we booked! I guess it all depends on where you want to go.
FH doesn't fly, so a cruise was perfect for us. We had to book it since they only leave out of NY on certain days. Also, our original date was for 8/21 but no cruise at that time that we wanted, so we changed the wedding date to the week before.

I think it really depends on where you are going. If you are doing a sandals resort or a cruise, you can book a year in advance or even more. However, if you are doing Hawaii or Mexico, I would say definitely wait until about 4-7 months before.
I just completed everything with our HM, and we are at six months.
