I got it summer 1999 because I wanted to drive my car to Georgia to visit my sister and my mother wouldn't let me go unless I bought myself a cell phone so she could call me every hour on the road

It was either late 95 or early 96 I think.
FH didn't get one until Aug 2002 when I made him b/c he was going to be driving from Bklyn to LI everyday for work.
