When we walked into the Cocktail Hour room. We attended an event there before; however, it was in the lower level of the place. When we decided to look at the place, we were completely blown away with the attention to detail and the ballroom. We knew it was the place for us. We left the Inn, and I told my FH this is the place where we were having our reception. We had an appt at another reception hall right after. We cancelled the appt and called The Inn to say we're coming back to leave deposit for the date tomorrow. I'm so happy we decided to have our reception at the Inn.

Re: When did you know...
I was looking around online for beachy type places, and found Lands End website. I fell in love looking at the pics. I clicked on the menu, and fell in more in love with the different types of food offered. We drove past Lands End and right there I knew I wanted to have our wedding there. When I found out how much it was per person for a June Sat eve wedding, I wanted to cry. We went and looked at West Lake Inn, another Lovin Oven RH, but there was no place outside for ceremony. So we booked an appointment with LE and booked it for an afternoon wedding, we're just going to party later on after the wedding at a hotel. So...I got my RH and the menu I wanted.

Re: When did you know...
I am not quite sure what it was about it but the moment that FH and I walked in our RH we just KNEW... we went to visit A LOT of places though so we knew exactly what we wanted... Russos was the last (30th) place and by then we were pretty much able to walk into a place and figure out whether or not we would like it... the day we booked it though it was a whole mixture of things, the setting, location, staff, decor, and then once we met with our BM it was her, and we met the owner and didn't even know it because he was so down to earth and friendly... not only that but the menu is to die for, the view is spectacular, AND we just found out that they completed the construction of their roof top deck... so we do have to do a little praying for nice weather but even if we don't have access that day because of the rain it's still everything we could have hoped for and more.

Re: When did you know...
The room was absolutely beautiful. It was a one wedding at a time hall and the bakery that they use for the wedding cake is the same bakery I have gotten all of my cakes from since my 1st birthday. So it was sort of a sign

Re: When did you know...
The second I stepped inside I knew it was the one for us. I loved it's rustic feel, love the outside/waterside cocktail area, loved how it's sort of 'hidden' (like not in a main area of town), and the fact that it's one event at a time was a plus. Also, I was able to taste the food the first time I went and it was sooo good!

Re: When did you know...
Before we went to see Vineyard Caters I told my FH I would proably hate it but lets look for the heck of it. From the moment we walked in we were in love and FH could not stop squeezing my hand.
Of course, being the indecisive person I am I kept looking at other halls 'just incase' I found something better but everytime I imagine what my wedding would be like I pictured VC. We went back for a tasting with our parents and were even more blown away by how beautiful the place is!

Re: When did you know...
I never really got 'that' feeling, but FH totally did about the Riviera. My first choice was just too far for our guests. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it there and its wonderful and beautiful and rustic just like we were going for. And they have an impeccable reputation, and everyone there is super nice. I wouldn't change it now if I could! Hang in there, you will figure it al out

Re: When did you know...
I knew my hall was 'the one' after almost a year of looking at halls (on a very slow pace) and not really getting wowed by any of them. I feel in love with Westbury Manor; but they were out of my budget; and even with all the negotiating; they still weren't able to come down to the amount i was able to pay. I had gone to CB for their winter showcase and loved it; but when i tried to call to set up an appt i had a hard time making one! so i gave up; and 5 months later decided to go back and give it a 2nd chance and fell in love with it again! I love love love the oustide area; and hope that i can have my ceremony out there (or at least get my pictures taken out there). And they offer SO much food on their menu!

Re: When did you know...
i thought all the things that were really important to me
big -bright - and of course cost and great food.
my 'hall' is not your traditional RH but it's perfect for us, I love it :)
we saw it and loved it, then the taste test sealed the deal

Re: When did you know...
FH and I knew we wanted to get married on the beach, so we needed to look for hotels that had beach front ceremonies available. There were 2 hotels on the island that did this. We also aren't ballroom people, it's just not us in any way. We wanted something modern and romantic. So we were looking at doing a patio location for the reception. Our coordinator threw us a curve ball with Candelas. It's a restaurant, not a hotel with a beach on it's property. After looking at the 2 hotels first when we walked into Candelas we just knew. It was perfect for us. The lighting, the decor, the staff and it was half the price. We rented the entire place out, so the whole place is all for us. We've gone back a few times for dinner when we have been out there and just love it. That is really cool also, knowing that we can go back for dinner whenever we want.
