I know this has been asked before.... I guess I should do it soon! My shower will be in June or July. Do you think it would be OK to wait until May or is that too late? We so undecided on what we want.

i would start looking and getting ideas. my fiance and i registered a while ago, but we still need to do some stuff. i don't know if i would wait too long because you never know when your shower might be. i know there is a chance mine could be early to throw me off. good luck. we had fun registering...enjoy it...

i think it is fine if you wait a few week. i would DEFINETLY recommend looking online first and then deciding which stores to visit. while looking online, write down things you like and want. i found this to be REALLY helpful. it is really overwhleming to go in blindly.

i registered in august when i got enaged... our wedding isn't till next April and we have half our registry...we didn't even have an engagement party

We registered right away...although I didnt want to, FMIL kept saying people wanted to buy us engagement gifts and pushed us to it, and I can add and delete as it comes I guess, Also I registered because of 'special events' like at Fortunoff's...where I might have waited...But I think it depends...FI's family is BOG on giving gifts for engagement and have bought us a lot, my family doesnt do that or else I would have waited untill about 6 months before the wedding

We also registered in August. People wanted to buy us engagement gifts and they were hounding us! I didn't mind I was told not to register for bedding or bath stuff until the summer because it is all seasonal.

My FI and I went for the first time about 3 weeks ago. If you are registering at Fortunoff they tell you not to register for linens until 4 months before b/c they get discontinued. I think you should do some now and some later...you don't realize how exhausting it is and will probably have to go 2 or 3 times.

We registered two months after we were engaged and went recently to fill in and change some stuff that was outdated.

I registered in January, I was apprehensive about it, I just didn't feel the need to register at all. But my mom talked me into it. My shower was at the end of February, so I guess I cut it a little close, if I were you, I would definetly start looking online, thats the way I did it, I would keep adding stuff and pretty much got everything that I put on the registry! So it can't hurt to start looking now.

We went out 2 weeks after we got engaged to register. My FMIL thought it would be a good idea for people that wanted to buy engagement gifts. That way we would get stuff that we wanted.

I just registered last month and we will be getting married in Nov. If it was me I would register soon, your BP or others may want to start saving up now for those big items you may register for.
