Is there a such thing as registering too early? My e-party isn't for another 2 months but I saw some girls getting married in late 2010 with their registry's up and running and now I want to do mine too!

I think you can register whenever - the day after you get engaged if you want! lol We're holding off until we find a place to live so we know exactly what we want and what we have room for. If you already know I say go for it now! I can't wait to go around the store with that gun lol

I wanted to wait a little while after getting engaged to register. I wanted to wait until new things came out in the stores, plus we weren't having an e-party, so i wasn't worried about gifts. However, DH's family loves to give gifts, so they bugged us about registering. We probably registered almost 1 year before the wedding date and we got a lot of engagement gifts from our 2 registries.
I also had a friend that didn't register until after her e-party b/c she didn't want to get actual gifts. she was hoping everyone would give her money! so it's really up to you. If you want gifts for your party then register now. You can always add or change things as the months go on!

I think you can do it whenver you want. I started mine like 2 months after i got engaged.

You can register whenever you are ready to. I registered in Feb. and I'm not getting married until April of 2010; I didn't have an e-party. I had fun starting the registry and I'm dying to add more things to it.

We got engaged in December and registered at the end of January. I wanted to have my registry for my e-party which was Feb. 15.

If its for your eparty, then you can register now... but i would hold off on doing a complete one bc things become discontinued quite often... and its really annoying falling in love with something and not being able to get it ... just my .02

We started our registry a couple of months before our e-party but we waited to add our linens until about five months before the wedding.

Theres no problems with registering now. We registered a few months ago...about a year and a half before our wedding.

you can register whenever you want because you can always add and delete items. I registered in Oct 08 before the holidays so that our family members could get us items off of our registry for xmas gifts if they wanted to

I registered for my E-party but got nothing from the registry. I received cash instead.

No such thing as registering too early. People will want to buy you gifts- better that they get you what you want.
Only problem you may run into- items get discontinued and you may have to re-pick some things but...that's just another excuse to shop for free!
I registered a few months before my bridal shower- which I wish I did earlier.
