When did your FH ask the groomsmen?

When did your FH ask the groomsmen?

we're at the 9 month mark and FH still hasnt asked groomsmen to be a part of the wedding. he keeps saying 'they probably already know.' I think he should at least be like 'hey buddy, you're in the wedding,' but no....

did it take your FH a long time too??

I don't think FH said anything formally, he just told the people that he wanted to be in it that he wasgetting married and he'd let them know when they had to go tux shopping, lol....guys are so simple. Girls do cookies and cards and them, they barely say a word. Plus 9 months is a long time still, guys can get their stuff together in like 2 or 3 months.

as soon as we got engaged we asked everyone... FH did add two groomsmen last month that we originaly readers

haha I dont want him to do anything fancy, just a simple 'hey youre in the wedding' would be nice... besides, i really want to finish up our website and add the bridal party ...

Omgg my fh toook for ever to say anything about them being in the wedding- not even to his brothers I think in Jan I was like listen you need to say something to them now and he did it then lol and it was 4 months away from our day

Trust me I understand...they make our jobs so much more difficult. lol, just tell him to tell you who they are so you can finish the website. Then tell him, he better tell them before you plaster names and maybe pictures on the world wide web

my FH just kinda told the guys in passing one day about a year before the wedding. however, he did not pick a best man until this January, which was 3 months before the wedding.

hahaha yes! FH still didn't do it!! He says the same thing, 'they know!' You still have to ask them. hahah I think he asked 1 out of 7, maybe 2. We went away with them this weekend too, and he didn't ask! He's so silly. It's 5 1/2 months for us! ahhhh

No, he had the opposite problem. He'd get drunk and asked EVERYONE to be a GM. We agreed originally on 5 apiece. He now has NINE!

One GM came up to me at a BBQ and said 'Hey, FH just asked me to be a GM!' I had to quickly hide my shock, give him a big old hug and said 'I know!! He's been wanting to ask you!!'

Haha trust me, I wanted to just stare blankly at him but I felt bad! He seemed so excited when he told me!

um.. his oldest brother kinda knew already because we'd always talked about the bridal party before we were even engaged. my brother assumed he was the best man, but had to be told he's only a groomsman (not for nothing, FH has 3 brothers) my nephew asked if he was one.
well I guess all his brothers KNEW, but he's only close with 2 of his brothers, the other is 19 months older and they don't talk much... but that's his BM.

so I kept telling FH to make sure he spoke to BM before our e-party because I want pictures of the four of us (my, fh, bm, moh)... yea... at the engagement party I asked fh if he asked him.. he said no, so I told him 'go do it now or I WILL!' he said 'hey (name) come here a sec, {goes into hallway} so mommy told you you're my best man right?' 'um... not really' ... 'well you are'... 'ok'.... 'ok, we have to go take pictures'.

thats like when people assume their invited to the wedding when you've bumped into them for the first time in 10 years... but chat once a year on facebook.

FH forgot to ask 2 groomsmen. They only found out they were in the wedding when we sent them a link to our wedding website with their names and pictures listed as groomsmen!

We've gotten plenty of those. In fact my MOH's parents did it! We sent the STD to her parent's house since she was still living there at the time. Clearly made out to MOH only. I got an e-mail the next day saying we can't wait to attend your wedding! But they're so nice, I couldn't say no.
