Everyone has been so helpful so far - My wedding is June 17
When do I do the following:
get flowers? Get our rings? Get our marriage licence? Send invitations?
Is there anything I'm missing? Thise bridal magazines have like 10 page checklists - I'm overwhelmed...
Do I sound like a spaz for not knowing these things???

Well, there are tons of things to do (of course). But you send the invites about 2 months before and you can get your marriage license 60 days before. The florist you could start looking for now. We're planning on getting our rings in January or February for our May wedding. Hope that helps
You may want to consider making a list though. Whenever you think of something write it down. The Knot also has a pretty good list. What I did was make a list of what applied to me, and then I sorted it out by when I needed to get things done. So I have a list of stuff to do each month. It made it more manageable for me. But relax, no need to stress out yet!

the marriage license has to be done 60 days or less before the wedding

Hi! All the bridal magazines can definitely be overwhelming. There are websites which have checklists onine and they tell you timeframes in which the things should be done (weddingchannel.com and the knot both have them I think). We're getting married November '06 and we're doing flowers/photographer by February, invites mailed out in early September, ML has to be 60 days before as mentioned, and we're doing our rings by May. HTH!

No, I don't think there's any rule about when you get the rings. I want them 6 mos in advance because I want everything planned for the most part by June. But that's just me! I say get them when you want to get them.

get flowers? start looking at florists now, the good ones get booked Get our rings? whenever you want. we ordered our in September, but his is being custom made Get our marriage licence? no more than 60 days in advance of the wedding. Get it at your local town hall. Call in advance to see what kind of identification they want you to bring, as well as the fee. Send invitations? calculate when your hall needs a final headcount, backtrack 10 days (for people that RSVP late), backtrack another 6 weeks if you don't have a B-list of guests, 8 weeks if you do, and that is approximately when the invites should go in the mail..

You have no idea - thats me too - we got engaged in May 05, and by the end of the summer i had our photog, videog, and DJ booked! I work almost everyday and go to school, so I want to make sure I don't forget to do somehting major and on time!!!

I have this saved in my notebook. It's a LONG list but it may help you in the long run.
