When do I buy MY dress?

I dont know when I buy my dress! Im getting married may 25 08. I was in a bridal store today getting a fitting for my friends wedding and I happened to ask an attendant if they had the maggie dress ive wanted, and they do!!!! If I try it on, Im going to want to get it...but...I started weight watchers and have been losing weight. What do I do????? HEELPP!

If you find a dress you LOVE buy it and wait till ur at ur desired weight and tehn get it fitted. No hurry!!

BUT, make sure you kep tabs on when they'll stop making it (usually, the new dresses come out in the fall.... so the older styles will have to be ordered around that time, before they end production.)

I ordered my dress right at the end of its production....

Hi If you find one buy it because you never know when it will be not in production anylonger ~ you can start looking now & if you find the one... order it!

First question . . . how many dress sizes do you think you will go down if you reach your goal weight?

Second question . . .how many pounds do you have to lose to reach your goal weight?

Third question . . . if you lose an average of 2 pounds per week, how many weeks willit take you to reach your goal weight?

I ask all this because my sister lost 65 pounds (or 5 dress sizes) between the day she ordered her dress and the day it came in. They could not alter it for her and she had to buy (yes- buy) the floor sample dress.

In addition, once she lost all the weight she was very unhappy with the way the dress looked on her. While IMHO she looked fabulous on her wedding day, the dress was more flattering when she was heavy because it accented certain features and hid others, but once the weight was gone it didn't accent the 'right' things anymore.

So, with all that said, I wouldn't order a wedding dress until I reached the halfway mark to the goal.

Don't worry! You can always take in if you lose weight...remember you can't take out.
I purchased my dress in February 2006 for my May 2007 wedding.
If you find it, you find it!!

I don't think it matters...or if the store tracks the dress...and can call you when they get a discontinue notice, that would be great! Thats what the store did for me! (it hasn't been discontinued yet). I rodered it 8 months before...

I ad to put 100 down to track it.

I agree...you don't look like you can lose that much, so the size difference would be minimal. Get it now and get fitted later.
