When do I have to Pay for Dress?

My dress just came in - I am going on Sunday to try it on and make sure that everything is ok with it. I feel like I remember someone posting something about their place being nasty and making them pay the balance when they tried it on for the first time. I am going to call them tomorrow - but i just wanted to know the deal with your bridal shops.
BTW - It's Bridal Reflections in Massapequa.

I think my salon said that I would have to pay the balance at my first fitting (from what I can remember)..

the payment schedule should be on your contract with them...there is something about it on the bottom corner of mine...i think it says 75% by first fitting...i just looked at it and now i can't remember....
