When do I send out the invitations?

My wedding date is Feb 16th and the RSVP date is January 16th. When should I send out the invitations?

I sent mine a little over 8 weeks ahead because it is the weekend after x-mas and have a lot of out of towners (FI whole family). But rule of thumb is usually 6-8 weeks before

Mine is February 15 and we're sending them out the first week in December. We're sending them a little early b/c it's holiday time and I'm sure the mail will be slower than normal.

yes...being that

1. you are sending them with christmas mail

and

2. feb 15 is 'sort of' a holiday (people may make plans)

I think its better to send it early...10 weeks

i would send them the last week of novembr or very early december only because you don't want them to get shoveled in and forgotten with all the other holiday mail people will be getting...

I am sending mine out the first or second week of Dec. I am getting married Feb 15th.

I am also getting married February 15th. We are sending out our invitations the third week in November. This way we figured it will be early enough for out of town guests to make plans and they also won't get lost in the holiday mail. We have our RSVP date set for January 11th, to give us extra time to make the table arrangements.

It is customary to send your invites out 2 months in advance. We are getting married on a holiday weekend so we are doing 10 weeks instead, but I think anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks is fine.

I am sending them 7/25/2003. Wedding is 9/26/2003
