When do I start my fittings - another repeated question - sorry...

the wedding is in less than 3 months now, and I'm wondering when I begin my dress fittings....

Also - how much do alterations tend to cost at the bridal shop at the end of the day?

Good question. I was wondering the same. I thought the fittings started at around 10 weeks and the cost of alterations is as per the salon/seamstress. They usually cap them at a certain amount no matter what needs to be changed on the dress

10 weeks... so - am I still good? I'm in June... less than 3 months, which would be around 12 weeks or so - uh oh - I better start planning...

I would call the salon and schedule an appointment. They usually get booked pretty quickly and most shops don't like to do alterations on the weekends.

Well - like it or not, the only day available I have is Sunday - guess they'll have to accept my money on that day....

Oh, that sounds a bit better then having to book in 2 weeks - but I guess i should call them tomorrow too - hey, doe anyone have a pen? I think I need to start a to do list!!!

i am getting married june 4 and i still havent had my fittings. i did not know that we had to call them up to schedule an appointment. I think my alterations are 295.

For my August wedding I am starting my fittings in June. My alterations are costing me $200 (it should have been $150, but I got charged an extra $50 to replace my broken zipper).

For my June wedding, I'm starting alterations in April (my place said April), but I'm pushing it off a tad to give myself more time to loose weight!

I just had my first fitting yesterday, so they start about 6 weeks before.

six to eight weeks before your wedding is what the salon told me.

My shop told me 4 - 6 weeks before. And ususally there's a cap on alterations, mine's $200 I think. I don't know if the cap includes the bustle though.
