i notice so 08 girls are already starting to look and i notice some 07 girls still dont have their dress...i have not booked a rh yet but it is going to be in sept 08...when should i start looking?
the stuff i'm reading says that you need between 6 and 9 months for the dress to be made and altered, and i'm counting on it taking at least a month for me to find the dress, so i'm going to start shopping about a year before my wedding (seven months from now - plenty of time to clip out tons of pics from magazines!)
I had originally planned on waiting for the year and a half mark cause the desginers that I was looking at said it could take anywhere from 9-12 months. It just so happened though that while I was looking for BM dresses for my sister that I found a dress that I fell in love with and we ordered it on the spot. That was back in August, a few months before my year and a half mark.
I also planned on waiting until about 9 months before, but last month I started browsing and I ended up loving this one dress, and I ordered it also..and it was kinda good because they said it would take about 1 year to come in and that would be 5 months before my wedding, I would rather it be in early than cutting it close.

I am going this weekend to look at bridesmaid dresses and to browse wedding dresses just so I can nail down the colors of the wedding. I am not sure about the shade of green yet.
I will wait deff till 11/10 month marker to take the two bridesmaids out shopping. I may start looking at the year marker or try to wait till 9 months to the wedding so I can drop some major pounds!
my new years resolution is to find a dress...heheh j/k... but im going to start looking in jan. and if i find something then ill buy it. but im really picky and not everthing looks good on me.. like i siad in earlier threads im really short and president of the itty bitty titty committee... so i have to find something that doesnt make me look completely flat. so its going to be a porject!
i found 'the dress' but i am not sure if i should order it now b/c it is a limited edition- if i do order it early do they keep it at the salon until your fitting? i just dont want the dress to be discontinued! i think i should call the salon
im thinkin when i have busted my *** enough that i will not have flabby arms and look amazing THEN I WILL start looking...as for now..my thoughts are just around the year before mark!
I'm thinking by this time next year I will buy one hopefully...from what i hear you should start finding a dress 6-9 months before the wedding with all the alterations and everything

I'm having my BM's in green too and I have to say I think it's one of the hardest colors to find the right shade of! Don't know if you've seen it yet but Jim Hjelm makes a Moss green which is pretty. It's not pastel but it's not that shocking emerald either. Might wanna check it out!
