When do you...

Register for towels, linens, etc? I am getting married in August and I don't want any of my stuff to get discontinued? Help!

I was told from Fortunoff NOT to register for those things until 6 months before the wedding.

im getting married in august also and we just completed our registry with all that stuff. we actually did towels back in july but waited on bedding till now. we were told 6 mos in advance is good timing.

Hey Jeanna - I registered for that already. I figure the shower will be at least a month before the wedding if not more, so you're not actually registering 7 months before people will purchase them. And you will probably get that stuff at the shower. Where are you registering?

I'm getting married in July and I registered for them in December and my colors were discontinued a week later. Fortunoff just got the new colors in in my towels, so I re-registered two weeks ago. It wound up being basically the same colors, just different names for them! They told me that since they are brand new colors, they should not be discontinued again anytime soon. They also told me 6 months before is the best time.
