I did mine 5 months in advance LOL not sure if thats too early or not.

But I looked at our recipet yesterday and it said December 11th...

Naaa don't freak out.... it's totally cool and you have PLENTY of time!!!!

I just called the bakery - we had a choice of 2 bakery's so I went and called the one we wanted.

Made and appointment and that was basically it. We paid a deposit and I paid the balance 2 weeks before the wedding

We had upgrades - so we had to pay extra

I am sure your hall has a certain amount you are 'allowed' to spend before goin over with upgrades but the bakery will explain that to you.
