when do you meet with the bakery to pick out your cake?

we have 2 bakeries we can use through our RH but I am wondering how far in advance we should plan to meet with them to pick out our cake?

I emailed my BM about this and he said we should visit our bakery 6 weeks before the wedding. HTH!

I think my RH suggested two months before we need to decide on menu and cake so I would say any time before that. HTH

we have 2 bakeries? i thought we only had francescos??

when i booked they told me Francescos and Taste of Home. maybe it changed?! i should probably email Melanie to find out.
