When do you normally go shopping for....

Bridesmaid dresses? Just wondering what the time frame was.

We started shopping a few months ago and ordered this month. I was told to have the order by 5-6 months out but check with the store you are interested in for delivery times.

i was told that they need to be ordered 8-10 months in advance - i still need to get them there to put the orders in...

My wedding is in December, and I went for my BM's dresses in the beginning of April. The dress I picked out takes 4-12 weeks to come in. It depends on the maker I suppose.

Definitely dont leave it until the last minute. I had a bit of a scare because my shop told me it would take 8-12 weeks, and then when they were actually ordered, it came back as 16 weeks. I didnt think we'd have them in time.

The store we ended up going to said 4 months, but I would say give yourself at least 6 months because 1. it'll take you awhile to find what you want 2. you will need to get all of your BMs to put the order in and sometimes that can take some time (I have been trying for weeks now and only one girl has put in her order) and 3. you never know when something will go wrong and you want to give yourself plenty of lee-way time.

BM dresses are not as difficult to get in as the Wedding gown. We ordered ours about 5 months before the wedding. No problem it came in on time.

we ordered in June for a November wedding, but we definitely should have gone sooner, because my MOH had some trouble with her gown and it wasnt ready till the day before the wedding!

definitely plan ahead!

It depends on the place. We ordered from The Commack Wedding Center and they said about three months but the dresses came in 2 weeks early.

Some other stores tell you that you need at least 6 months. Macy's Bridal I think is one of them. You need to ask wherever you go.

A year before the wedding date I spent a couple of weekends looking, and having one of my girls try one, etc. It took a couple of months b/c I did it kind of leisurely, but I would recommend doing it sooner rather than later so you can coordinate all the other stuff around the appropriate colors and styles

we ordered mine in December for my October wedding to be sure that we got them in plenty of time for alterations and such. (Also, my moh is from out of town, so I wanted to do it while she was visiting). I don't think you need to order quite that early, but I'd definitely start looking about then.

we ordered them in Dec and they just came in last night actually! Wedding is in 79 days!!!!!!

I am getting married in August and we purchased them about a month ago from RK Bridal. They should be in by late June.

About 7 months before the wedding. MY wedding is in September. I went in Feb to look. Ordered in March! Dresses will be here the end of June begining of July!

I ordered my dresses in march and my wedding is in January. They told me it could take anywhere from 5-8 months and I would want to have the dresses in 2 months before the wedding.
