How many months before your wedding, do you normally have your shower?

anywhere from 1-3 months before. I would say average is 3 months before, but many also have it about 2 months.

I think most are 2-3 months before...but I have also been to some that were 4-5 months prior. And then I've been to 1 or 2 that were the day before the wedding b/c it was a destination wedding and the bride didnt live near friends or family

I had mine in sept for a november wedding......we tried to seperate it a bit because of the holidays.

just had my sisters in the beginning of october, shes getting married the day after xmas

Mine will be in March and my wedding is in June.

6 to 12 weeks before the wedding. usually around the 8 week/2 month mark seems to be the average. Mine was 6 weeks before

Mine was Sept 13 for Nov8 wedding....but my friend is getting married in April andthey are having her shower in Nov..so I guess it can be further apart.

I'm getting married in the beginning of March so I think I can expect my shower to be in January sometime. I can't see them planning it around the holidays.

Mine was aug 10 for my oct 25 wedding. I think 2 months is standard from what I have seen on here and elsewhere.

Most of my friends have had theirs 1-2 months before the wedding. Me & FH began registering for gifts pretty much as soon as he proposed, since it was only going to be a 6 month engagement. lol. I'm pretty sure mine will be about 8 wks before the wedding (it's a surprise, so i can't be sure!)

yea i'm getting married in late june and since my mom is pretty clueless she asked me when to have it- and i said may- just cause i want it to be kinda warm out so i can wear a pretty dress!

My friend was married early last June and her shower was in mid April.
