I don't know really...I never used a bassinet. But, I would think you should move them once the bassinet is too small for them and they are moving around more while they sleep.

Re: when does baby
The usual time frame is 3months. I think we moved him at 4month since we were redoing the room. (and I was procrastinating moving him out of our room and into his own )
You'll get a feel for when the baby has outgrown the bassinet

Re: when does baby
Mia will be 8 weeks tomorrow and the bassinet seems so small for her, she looks clastrophobic in it..we are ordering her a crib. I thought she would at least get 3 months out of it.

Re: when does baby
MY SIL had to move her baby before the 3 month mark.
I don't think I want to get one. It seems like a waste of money, even if I get it as a shower gift.

That's why I didn't get a bassinet, b/c they outgrow them so fast. They are pretty though

Re: when does baby
Lyla slept in the cosleeper and then in our bed 1/2 the night. The cosleeper didn't work out that well, so a couple of weeks ago I started to put her in her crib. She's 3 months old.

Paul napped during the day in the 'bassinet' addition to the Pack-n-Play. At night, he either slept in his porta-crib next to our bed or in his infant seat on the floor.

Re: when does baby
Make sure you check the weight restrictions on your bassinet, they will tell you when the baby should no longer be in it.
