When feeding vendors...

...where do you seat them? Do they have a private area for them to eat? Do they sit a 'vendor table'?

Mine are going to be in a separate room but at their own table.

They usualy have a table set up off to the side, because they are still working as they eat. Do you want your photographer in another room while he could be getting good shots, of you an your husband interacting alone.

I had a table for my vendors in my reception, why would I want them to eat in a seperate room? I personally feel thats kinda rude but thats JMO and not meant to start a debate

Julie - at the WM, they sit in a seperate area- I can't tell you where, but it's not in the reception room, so no need to count them in for tables.

Actually, now that I think of it, I think my dad said that most places that have a restaurant as well as a reception area, will seat the vendors in there. My dad said he was at WM one night and they told the band members to go to the Polo lounge and get dinner.

I see what you mean about it being kinda rude, but at the same time, they would probally eat when you are, and I don't want a pcture of my eatting , plus they are on a break, it's not like they will be gone for hours and maybe they'd want privacy, use their phone etc. ( no debate)

I guess it may also depend on your relationship with your vendors. If you took engagement pics, you may feel closer to your photographer and not mind him or her being at a table.

My band is going to be a bunch of musician colleagues of my dad, so they will probably get a table in the reception. Some of these guys probably remember when I was born.

Although I'm sure that they did, I don't even remember seeing my vendors eating. We did not have a seat or table for them. I'm not really sure where they ate.

Ours had a table off to the side in the back.

jenny2penny how could you say that?

They are normal people like you and me. Why treat someone like that and say....no no no...you should feed them in another room?

I myself would have a table in the same room as all of us. I'm really disturbed that someone would be so harsh.

I really don't think she meant to be harsh, she was just trying to help out. Everyone has their own ideas of what they want at their wedding. It's just a matter of opinion.

I am hoping they will sit in a separate room only because I don't think after inviting everyone we won't have any room in the reception hall.
