When going to a hair trial do you need to bring a veil and hair comb?

I have a hair trial on June 15th and I am not sure if I need to bring the veil and hair comb I plan to wear the day of. Is it necessary? I havent even found my dress yet and when I went to Barrons the woman said to wait and get the dress so she can match the veil and hair comb.

Also, I have about 10 months to go before my wedding and I still havent had luck finding a dress. How soon before do you need to find it before it becomes 'cutting it close'?

i didnt have one for mine. THe woman actually had a veil and hair comb for me to use to see if i liked it. It depends. if you go to a place say like RK bridal they can get it quickly or if you buy off the rack or a sample. Most bridal salons take a long time.

I just called the store where I got my dress/tiara/veil yesterday and asked if I could pick up the tiara and veil for my hair trial and she recommended I not take the weil, because if hairspary gets on it and then they steam it, it could rip.

Call the person you have the hair trial with and ask them. Some won't even do a hair trial unless you have your hairpiece because they have to see how it's going to fit into your hair-do. Others don't care, depending on what you want, they'll do it anyway.

As for your dress, I'd say you'd be 'cutting it close' at the 6 month mark. Every manufacturer has different delivery times so the more time that goes by the less options you have. Don't rush, but try to get this done as soon as you can.

It's not necessary but it helps. When I did my trial I didn't have my veil yet but I was 99% sure what type I wanted so we tailored it around that a little.
Depending on where you get your dress, you could be on the verge of cutting it close. My dress took 6 months to make but it was hand made in Europe. Some other places take closer to 4 months, but then you have to factor in 3-4 weeks worth of possible tailoring. I'm sure if you find a dress with in the next 2 months or so, you will be fine. Not to mention lots of places will rush it for you

MIne took about 8 months. I bought it in June and it arrived in February. But it was from a Trunk show at Macys and it was a new style. They didn't start making the dress until October. Technically, I could have had in 4 months instead of 8 months.

I have a fingertip and a cathedral veil. I will probably bring the fingertip..But I am a little concerned reading some of the other posts. I might call first and see what my hair girl says. I have a hair clip that needs to come with me.

u dont necesarily need the veil, but if u're wearing any type of comb/tiara/anything(lol) bring it...i didn't bring mine to my trial, and the day of my wedding it ended up changing the look of my hair that i loved so much at my trial.....so bring it!

bring anything you want to try and ask lots of questions. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want or tell the person doing your hair or make up you don't like it. They want you to be happy!

Its not necessary but I would recommend it this way you can see the whole look, as far as hairspray on your headpiece have your hair completely dont and just place your headpiece where you want it then take it out. Veil isnt really very important BUT you may want to see where it will be and if you like it the way it will sit
