I was talking to my bridesmaids and ..i told them i was thinking about sending out the invites right when its a year before the wedding...? WHat do you girls think??? And when are you sending them out?

Invites are send 6-8 weeks before a wedding. If the wedding is on a holiday weekend then 10 weeks before.
Save the date cards are sent anywhere from 6 months to 1 year before the date.

do you mean wedding invites?????
I will send out end of July/first week in august and give 5-6 repsonse time and then have repsonses 4-5 weeks before wedding

About 6-8 weeks before. I think a year in advance is early and people won't really know where they may be in a year. I think that is a good time for save the dates!

My wedding is in May and I'm probably going to send them out March probably. I would send out Save the dates a year to the date... if you send out the invitations too early, people forget... so definitely don't send them out yet

My wedding is in the middle of January and I'm thinking of sending them out in the beginning of September because the Holidays will fall around the time that I would want to hear back from people and my wedding is on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, which isn't really a real holiday weekend (as not all companies give their employees that day off) but I want to make sure everyone can plan accordingly and also are well prepared with their holiday schedules and budgets.
Plus we have a few people on our B-list that I hate the fact that they're on there and if possible I want to have enough time to be able to invite them if I get a few no-s right off the bat.

Im going to send out save the dates about a year or so b4 the wedding. but the actual invites will be about 10 weeks prior.

Invites are usually sent 2 months before, some people send them 3 months before just to have plenty of RSVP time

We are probably sending ours out 3 months before. We sent STDs to most of our guests, but we're still a Sunday summer wedding with many OOTers so we want to give people a little more time to make arrangements. Plus, our invites have been in since March and I want to send them ASAP!

im sending them out approx 9-12 weeks earlier - i want an RSVP date for about 2 weeks prior to the date i have to give my total - so i can account for any straglers that send back their cards late

i think we will send ours out so they arrive to our guests the first week of october which is about 8 weeks before the wedding....the RSVP will be Nov 1st - about a month before the wedding - this is also the cut off date to reserve a room at the hotel we blocked rooms at.....we are sending save the dates by the end of this month - about 7 months before the wedding

yes, thats WAY early! at the year mark is when people normally send out stds!!
for my aug 2 wedding, i'll prob be sending out invites in may... asking for rsvp's mid june which i think would give me enough time to figure out a rough head count and send out more invites on the B list without it looking tacky!
eta: im hoping people cant make it and i can have my smallerish wedding hopefully lots will be on vacation or something

I'm doing the STD's just about exactly one year in advance and the invites 10 weeks prior, but I'm on Memorial Day Weekend . . . .
