How far in advance should my dress come in?? When do u start fittings? My salon told me my dress is coming in in August...I'm hoping that means the beginning of Aug...when do I start fittings? Is that cutting it close?

presume 3-4 fittings from the first time you're in the shop with the gown until it's done... It totally depends on how long the wait is between fittings... Ours are running about 3 weeks apart.... so that would be 12 weeks, conservatively.
Keep in mind, if you're date is coming up, they'll surely speed up the time between fittings.....
i think you're ok.... but sept might be cutting it a tad close....

My wedding was in June 2006, ordered dress May 2005. Dress was due in in Nov 2005, came in Aug. I went to see it and try it on, just to 1-make sure it was the right dress and 2-make sure it fit.
I didn't start fittings until April 2006. I went for 3 fittings, the last being the week b4 the wedding, and picked it up 2 days before the wedding.
You want to make sure you at the very least see the dress when it comes in, just to inspect it.
Fittings, you don't want to start TOO early, b/c of the possibility of weight loss or gain (anything can happen).
