Our wedding is on a Friday night. The church called and told me that my rehearsal is Thursday night at 6pm. The only other option is Wednesday. Since my BP is from Staten Island and is staying at the hotel, I figured Thursday was better. Otherwise they would have to travel back and forth. What do you think? How far away is your rehearsal dinner from your wedding?

We're having it the night before also. The rehearsal dinner is about 15 mins from the church.

my wedding is saturday and rehearsal dinner is thursday. Sounds like having it the night before is the best option for you so dont worry
i picked 2 days before bc as far as bp, non of them are from out of town so no matter what they'd go right home after the RD. This way they dont have to come to our RD, get home late then wake up earling in the morning for the wedding. They'll have a day in between. If i had bp members who were OOT then i'd do it the night before too

I REALLY wanna have it the night before but my mom thinks its a bad idea b/c we will have so much to do that day. I'm prob going to do it anyway and just be sure to plan well enough to free up that night.

Ours will be the night before our wedding (Thurs) as our wedding is on a Friday and we have some out of towners in our bridal party that will be coming to LI the day before.
Not sure where it'll be yet, prob. pretty local to our hometown/church.

I am not having an actually rehearsal b/c i am getting married at the RH, but I think FH's parents want to have it the night before the wedding because they have lots of family that is out of town and they are hosting, and want to to do it the traditional way in which all out of towners are invited. I would rather it be two nights before, but I do not think I have a choice since they are paying!

the night before, but it's not technically a rehearsal dinner b/c we're getting married at the RH. all of FH's friends/BP are out of town, so we're going to do like a meet and greet dinner so that my family and his friends all meet. they are all coming in friday - my plan is to do an EARLY dinner, like 6 or 6:30 since the wedding is at noon the next day.

We are having the RD on Friday and the wedding is Saturday. Quite a few of our BP are OOTs so it would be really hard for them to get here if it was too much before. We haven't booked anyplace yet for the RD, but I hope to have it not to far from the church where the rehersal is.

yeah either way its hectic i think lol. If you do it 2 days before you still have to make sure you have alot done and then friday you are stuck doing all the last minute details and if its friday you are running around the days before finishing up everything.

Ours is the night before (Friday for Saturday wedding) b/c we have ALL oot BP (like far out....CA, CO, DC, VT, etc.). We actually have to do our rehearsal at 7:30pm (only time we could get that day!!!) so our dinner is before, at 5:00pm....FMIL wants to do a reception after the rehearsal for all the OOT guests....

My wedding is sunday night memorial weekend.
Rehersal is sat at 4pm in Huntington Cold Spring harbor
RD is at 6:30 (to be changed to 7pm) at Brickhouse Brewery in Patchogue

Ours will be Thurs because we can't Fri, Sat. don't think everyone will be there but we have no choice.
